Equipment
We work with industrial measuring systems AXYZ STM/MTM (by Leica, Switzerland), which include high precision electronic tacheometers TDM 5005 / TDA 5005 and a package of dedicated software.
This optoelectronic equipment is considered to be the most advanced equipment used in applied geodesy. It guarantees:

high precision: large-sized ship structures are measured with the accuracy of tenth and hundredth of millimetre

availability: we can determine shape and position of ship structures even if it is on the inclined shipways or afloat

Hull section and block sizing to the "net" dimension
Precise
sizing of blocks and sections right on the manufacturing site without
"check" assembly is the most efficient way to reduce the amount
of adjustment works.
Contactless coordinate methods with the use of optoelectronic systems offer significant advantages:
- possible preliminary remote drawing adjustment of the structures
- in any space attitude (including location on inclined shipways)
- located at a distance (for example, in different manufacturing workshops)
- measurements of such structures are done in one and the same coordinate system
Preliminary
evaluation of possible discrepancies between structures being integrated
allows you to gain extra time for technical solutions
of the integration process.
Propeller geometry control
Modern industrial measuring systems have contributed to the optimization of propeller geometry control. With coordinate system of Leica AXYZ type we can check geometry:

without preliminary marking
right in the dock
without disassemling propeller from the ship
even without access to the targets measured
Measurement results can be used for:
- propeller survey
- independent quality control of NC machining of propeller blades
- blade finishing
- propeller repair

Geometry control of assembly process
Coordinate systems of Leica Axyz type enable us to handle a wide range of tasks related to shipbuilding / repair. Due to high measuring accuracy, speed and software flexibility, we can check large-sized objects of complex geometrical form as well as propose required shifts of bases or entire objects during installation and assembly..
Typical applications:
- shape control of complex large-sized ship structures (including ship aerials in navigation and underwater sound systems)
- shipways laying-off, marking of base and control lines inside and outside the ship (during installation and check of control platforms)
- ship geometry monitoring during assembly and installation
- shape and location control of mechanisms' foundations
